The vineyards of Stellenbosch, only 20 minutes from Cape Town, offer a beautiful landscape, different from the landscape of the Cape Peninsula. Many grapes are grown in the area, producing wines such as Chenin Blanc, Shiraz, Pinotage and local champagne. The town of Stellenbosch is a human-sized, very dynamic town with a very famous university. There are many activities such as visits to wine cellars and wine tastings. Weltevrede is a historic family-run wine estate located near Bonnievale, in the Robertson Wine Valley, South Africa. Founded in 1912 by Klaas Jonker, it remains under the stewardship of the Jonker family, now led by fourth-generation winemaker Philip Jonker .
